RU Strong is an event at Rutgers University modeled after the Strongman Competition.
While participation was good, we wanted to boost participation from women on campus. We felt that our interpretation of the Strongman Competition should be more dynamic and should amp students from all walks of life.
With this challenge in mind, I decided to cast someone who was very passionate about fitness as well as intense with the way she treated the preparation for the events.

Jack The Record was an event thrown by Rutgers Recreation as a response to our failure the previous year to break the Guinness World Record for most people planking in one place at the same time.
Our plan was to gather people this time to do the same thing, but actually break the record this time performing jumping jacks.
My challenge here was to create a promotional piece that would speak to the narrative of how we as a university would be eager to try again.

RU Throwdown is an event thrown every year for freshmen across the entire Rutgers University campus. Thrown on each of the four campuses, this event serves as the flame to spark initial friendships within your freshmen dorms.
This video serves as a recap to show the energy that surrounds these relationships built.

REC In Motion is an interview series born to highlight student experience on campus.
In college, there are people who work out because they love to be active, and there are people who became active because of the community aspect surrounding it.
Our intention here was to open up these students to tell their stories and how participating in athletics on campus has contributed to their college experience.
We were lucky enough to have Governor Phil Murphy as our pilot episode.

gRUb is a content series created to solve a problem within the dining halls at Rutgers University. With plenty of options and ingredients readily available in the dining halls, students would only fly to the pre-made options including cook-to-order lines.
I wanted to empower students to make their own food using ingredients always available in the dining hall. However, we wanted to push forward creativity to make delicious, healthy, and quick meals.

This video is a recap of the event “Jack The Record”.
Upon learning that there was a mixup in qualifications for the Guinness World Record for most people doing jumping jacks at once, Rutgers ran with an audible to change it to most people performing a bodybuilding pose.
Nonetheless, this video shows the energy and participation from the Rutgers campus community.

This is a small commercial advertising the services of Rutgers Recreation.
Specifically, this is advertising one of the more successful classes at Rutgers, RU Fit.

The Big Chill is an annual 5k charity run for Rutgers Recreation with over 7,000 participants. In order to gear up for it, we wanted to change up our promotional material surrounding the event. We felt that in previous years, we had gone too far into the expected clean and calculated content surrounding Christmas.
My challenge here was to have fun by creating content that reminds people to sign up for the Big Chill. In this project, I gave a nod to infomercials using our Big Chill mascot, Chilly the Polar Bear.

Sunset Kayaking is an event thrown by Rutgers Recreation in the summer months for students taking summer classes or just about anyone wanting to learn how to kayak in their spare time.
I had to learn how to kayak (the day of shooting this event) to complete the project, and I will say that this event is a good time as well as a quality learning experience from experienced professionals.
This serves as a small commercial.
